Analyse d'un échantillon d'organisations à haute fréquence 'Legs'
La liste ci-dessous comprend des organisations qui ont bénéficié d'une fréquence de legs élevée (recettes durant minimum trois années consécutives).
Les recettes moyennes émanant des legs apparaissent en conséquence, sauf exceptions, relativement élevées.
Nous avons retenu trois indicateurs de résultats:
- le résultat moyen (annual average) des legs
- le rapport entre recettes Legs et le total (dons+legs),
- le rapport entre recettes Legs et le total des recettes (total income).
Les résultats illustrent dans de nombreux cas l'étroite corrélation entre le montant des dons et la fréquence des legs. Nous précisons en fin d'article que ces données gagnent à être interprétées avec prudence.

Des indicateurs à interpréter avec prudence
Les estimations publiées ci-dessus ont été collectées dans le cadre de l'édition annuelle du Baromètre de la Générosité publique (Fundraisers Forum).
Les recettes émanant de legs subissent de forte fluctuations. Le Potentiel Legs des organisations caritatives ne peut dès lors être sérieusement évalué que sur base de résultats moyens sur un minimum de trois à cinq ans.
Précisons par ailleurs que l'indicateur '% of total income' est biaisé par le fait qu'il compare une moyenne annuelle des legs calculée sur plusieurs années avec les revenus globaux de 2018.
Les organisations listées ci-dessus, pas plus que le Top 20 que nous publions par ailleurs, ne sont que partiellement représentatives des principales structures bénéficiaires de legs.
